Disclaimer

Last updated: July 25, 2026

Not Financial or Investment Advice. Educational / Developer Tool Comparison Only.

Compare AI Dev (“CompareAIDev”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates compareaidev.com (the “Site”). This Disclaimer explains the limits of our content, advertising, affiliate relationships, and trademarks. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

By accessing or using the Site, you acknowledge and agree to this Disclaimer. If you do not agree, please stop using the Site.

1. Nature of the Site

The Site publishes educational, informational, and editorial comparisons of AI developer tools (including AI IDEs, coding agents, APIs, DevOps-related AI tools, and similar software). Content may be generated, updated, or organized programmatically from structured data, public information, vendor materials, and editorial judgment.

The Site is a media / comparison resource for engineers and teams making tooling decisions. It is not a broker, marketplace, app store, bank, investment adviser, law firm, or certified procurement consultant.

2. No financial, investment, legal, tax, or professional advice

Nothing on the Site constitutes financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, tax advice, accounting advice, or any other professional advice.

  • We do not recommend buying, selling, or holding any security, token, company equity, or financial instrument.
  • Tool “pricing”, “value”, “ROI”, “cost”, or “best for” language is illustrative only and is not a guarantee of business outcomes.
  • Procurement, security review, compliance, and vendor risk decisions remain solely your responsibility (and that of your advisors).

Always verify pricing, licensing, security posture, data-processing terms, export controls, and contractual terms on the vendor’s official website or with qualified professionals before purchasing, deploying, or relying on any tool.

3. No warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness

Developer tools change quickly. Models, features, plan names, free tiers, rate limits, regions, and prices can change without notice. Our tables, checklists, pros/cons, FAQs, and rankings may be incomplete, outdated, simplified, or incorrect.

  • Content is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy.
  • We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of harmful components.
  • Where content is programmatically generated or aggregated, editorial review may be limited; treat all comparisons as a starting point for your own due diligence.

4. Independence, opinions, and “best / better” language

Statements that one tool is “better”, “best”, “recommended”, or “top” for a use case reflect editorial or comparative framing based on criteria we choose (features, pricing signals, category fit, etc.). They are opinions and relative assessments — not objective certifications or guarantees.

Different teams have different constraints (privacy mode, offline models, team SSO, budget, IDE ecosystem). A tool that ranks well on our pages may still be wrong for you.

5. Affiliate disclosure

Some links on the Site may be affiliate, referral, or partner links. If you click such a link and later purchase a product or subscribe, we may earn a commission or other compensation at no additional cost to you.

  • Affiliate relationships may influence which CTAs appear or how offers are highlighted, but we aim to keep comparison criteria transparent and useful for readers.
  • Sponsored placements, paid reviews, or gifted access — if any — will be disclosed where required (for example under the U.S. FTC Endorsement Guides, UK CAP/ASA rules, EU consumer-protection / influencer disclosure expectations, and similar rules in other regions).
  • You are never obligated to use an affiliate link; you may navigate directly to a vendor’s site.

This disclosure is intended to meet common advertising-transparency expectations for comparison and review publishers. Material connections will not be hidden.

6. Advertising disclosure (including Google AdSense)

The Site may display third-party advertisements, including Google AdSense and other ad networks. Ads are labeled or presented according to the ad platform’s formats. Advertisers and networks are responsible for their own creatives and landing pages.

Advertising does not constitute our endorsement of any advertiser, product, or service. Ad personalization and cookies are described in our Privacy Policy. You can manage ad personalization via Google Ads Settings (https://www.google.com/settings/ads) and industry opt-outs such as https://www.aboutads.info.

7. Trademarks, brands, and no endorsement

All product names, logos, trademarks, and brands mentioned on the Site are the property of their respective owners. Use of those names is for identification and comparison only.

Mention of a product does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from the trademark owner, unless we expressly say so. “vs”, “alternative”, and category labels are descriptive, not official partner badges.

8. Third-party websites, products, and services

Outbound links may lead to vendor sites, documentation, app marketplaces, cloud consoles, or affiliate destinations. We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, pricing, security, privacy practices, or terms.

Any transaction you enter into with a third party is solely between you and that third party. Read their terms, privacy policy, and SLA before relying on their product.

9. Security, privacy, and compliance decisions

Comparisons may mention privacy modes, data retention, on-device models, or compliance-related features at a high level. Such mentions are not security audits, penetration-test results, SOC 2 / ISO certifications, or legal compliance opinions.

Before processing sensitive, regulated, or personal data with any AI tool, conduct your own security review and confirm the vendor’s DPA, subprocessors, residency options, and regional legal requirements (for example GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, PIPL, LGPD, sector rules such as HIPAA where relevant).

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Compare AI Dev and its operators, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or procurement costs, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Site or reliance on any comparison content — whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability related to the Site shall be limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us directly for Site access in the twelve (12) months before the claim (if any), or (b) USD 50, to the extent such limitation is enforceable in your jurisdiction.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

  • Validating facts, pricing, and features before purchase or production use.
  • Evaluating licenses, open-source obligations, and model/provider terms.
  • Ensuring your use of any tool complies with your employer policies and applicable law.
  • Backing up data and assessing risks of AI-assisted code generation (including correctness, licensing, and security).

12. Forward-looking and estimated information

Any estimates, roadmaps referenced from vendors, “coming soon” features, or speculative comparisons are inherently uncertain. Do not treat them as commitments by us or by any vendor.

13. Regional consumer and advertising notes

Depending on your location, additional consumer-protection, unfair-commercial-practice, or advertising-disclosure rules may apply (for example EU/UK consumer law, U.S. FTC rules, Australia ACL, Canada CASL/advertising standards, and China advertising / consumer-protection rules). We intend this Disclaimer and related disclosures to support transparency; they do not reduce any non-waivable rights you may have under mandatory local law.

14. Relationship to other policies

Privacy practices are described in our Privacy Policy. Rules for using the Site (acceptable use, IP, governing terms) are described in our Terms of Service. If there is a conflict on a specific topic, the more specific policy controls for that topic.

15. Changes

We may update this Disclaimer as products, laws, advertising partnerships, or Site features change. The “Last updated” date will be revised when we do. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acknowledgment where permitted by law.
